It’s Snowing!

Filed under: Uncategorized — sara at 10:33 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2006

Well despite all the thoughts that Agassiz gets no snow and that the Fraser Valley doesn’t get a winter except for rain - the snow has arrived in full fury!! It’s snowing and blowing and pretty cold out here and it seems like everyone is house bound.  I swear that the first flake here means no one goes out - church meetings are cancelled, hockey games are postponed and people just don’t drive.  Which is just fine with me since I am now a totally parinoid winter driver as my poor husband knows all too well!! After Lance & I dumping our Jeep into the ditch on the Koke about 4 years ago and me rolling my truck off the road two winters ago in Vernon (while pregnant with Avi) I am super scared!! Lance only has two weeks off a year and we have booked a week long ski vacation for Silver Star (Vernon).  We are supposed to leave on Thursday and I am already worried about the drive, I am totally excited about the vacation but very concerned about getting there.  But on to happier thoughts,

Aviendha is really getting the hang of talking she is mimicing us like a parrot.  So I have to be extra careful when I say things like “Lance is this shirt ugly” and she answers back with “Ugly, Ugly, Ugly” Which is so cute and funny that you can’t do anything but laugh. Today after church we went to Grandma Adele’s for lunch and she proceded to name everyone around the room with great pride she can say Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Jill, Mark, Jack, Nana & Papa.

But after my very random and not exciting post I think I will leave you all - I might try and see if I can figure out the picture part of this site

Thanks for all your comments

I know I have been a little bit slow in my Thanks but here it is, Thanks to all the congrats we recieved on the news of our ‘bun in the oven’.  Lance, Aviendha and I are super excited about the new baby.

Not too much new here just getting over some colds/flus nothing as bad as Jenn’s experiance but between Avi and the little boy I babysit I think I have changed about 50 dipers in the last three days.  You get the picture, and I think that’s enough said about that!

Mom took Avi overnight for the first time last Saturday and everything went awesome.  I think mom was way more excited about the experiance than Avi or even Lance & I.  And except for a brief five in the morning wake up it was nearly perfect.  That definatly means more nights at Grandma’s house I’m hoping for once a month :)

Oh I wanted to Thank Deb for posting about my blog, I have a site that I update all the time. It is open for anyone to view and that’s where I post all my pictures and lots of dumb daily stuff too.

But I should run, Lance just walked in the door

Not sure if I already posted this!?!

Hi to all the Vanderveen Family,

Lance and I are so excited to be part of this blog world - what a awesome way to stay in contact ….. if I can figure out how this whole thing works!

Not too much is new with us, Lance is still working at the hotel but now has two morning shifts a week so we get to spend Friday and Saturday nights together.  This is the first time that has happened in years.  And I have started doing some child care for some friends of the family three days a week for three boys at their house.  I am there from 8 - 5 Avi and I are both super tired when we get home but it is nice to get a little extra cash!

Oh and a Happy Thanksgiving to all we had our dinner at my grandma’s last night and it was yummy! We also gave everyone a little gift see if you can figure the details out

It is what we are Thankful for this year at Thanksgiving

We gave everyone a picture frame with the following words

“PHOTO”

“Due to Arrive”

“April 26, 2007″

“Hope your excited”

Well that’s all for now I will post a few recent pics for everyone’s enjoyment too!
